- Elder Elf Holiday Shopping Project Update
We had 20 members, and 3 non-members participate, adopting 9 seniors. Volunteers spent on average $75 to $100 each for a total donation of $1,725- $2,300. We had one member and one non-member helping to deliver gifts to the homes.
A special thanks to everyone who participated.
- 2012 Education Advancement Scholarship
The Tallahassee Association of Government Accountants is offering two $500 academic scholarships for any AGA member either starting or already enrolled in a qualifying Financial Management academic discipline. This academic discipline includes accounting, auditing, budgeting, finance, and business administration. The scholarship application and required documentation must be received by Monday, February 28, 2012. If you have any questions, please contact Sid Staton, Student Member Chair, at

Have you ever thought about becoming a mentor? The Tallahassee AGA chapter is starting a new mentor program. If you are a current AGA member and have passed the written CGFM exam, we would like you to mentor individuals that are planning to take the CGFM exam.

candidate you will receive an AGA polo shirt along with the satisfaction of helping an individual reaching their goal of passing this
